Feelings of a common passenger

Lalu Prasad felt bad about food served to him during train travel. “Feeling bad” is a soft term. He became very angry. As he is Railway Minister, his anger resulted in suspension of few railway employees. He also took some decisions on the spot. Only branded food will be served now. Media also reported it.

I had also been upset on the quality of food served to me on Lalu’s trains. In my case it is not only once but almost every time. I also felt angry. But no body bothered. I wrote complaints in complaint books. But no body bothered. My complaint was not even acknowledged, what to talk of taking any action against some railway employees. Why is it so? The simple answer is Lalu is Railway Minister and I am a common passenger.

Now about branded food items. How lalu has certified that quality of branded food items is good? Perhaps he wants to deal with big players. He also said that drinking water packed by his own ministry will also not be served. This water is sold under RailNeer brand. Why not allow this? Here again perhaps he wants to deal with outside big players.

I feel insulted. I feel cheated. But I am a common passenger. Who is bothered about a common passenger of Indian Railways?
