Primary health care and empowerment of women

Primary health care and empowerment of women are very essential if we want to create a strong society, a society which provides a better life to all its citizens. This is like building a strong base for a strong building which can face all weathers in future. A healthy baby will become a healthy adult. A healthy adult will be a productive citizen who will contribute to the well-being of other citizens and society.

Women give birth and gift such potential productive citizens to the society. It is incumbent upon the society to ensure that women are looked after well and are empowered. They need proper health care for them and their children. To look after their children in a proper manner, women need to be empowered both socially and financially.

Indian government has created a ministry for women & child development, and a woman is heading this ministry, but nothing of any worth has been done. There are all sorts of Acts, Rules, Policies, Schemes but most of them have remained in papers only. Women and children still continue to be the most vulnerable section of Indian society. Violence against women and children is increasing inspite of many new laws made by the parliament. Every body wants to make political capital out of this but no body is really interested to improve the lot of women and children.

    Hello sir,

Primary education is also primary. Education also brings in some level of confidence in judging the political parties and will also bring in, the mindset of claiming the rights of a citizen, which majority of the rural population lack.

Every one must agree with ur views abou the education that should be given to women, this naturally helps in developing a good family. It is not just for herself but it is also for the family.

The virtue lies in the struggle, not the prize.
