Holi Special
Holi (also called Holaka or Phagwa) is festival of colors celebrated on the day after the full moon in the Hindu month of Phalguna.The festival’s preamble begins on the night of the full moon with the pooja and bonfire symolising the destruction of the evil and a new begginning. Holi is the new year for north Indians.
After the pooja , the next day come is the day of dhuleti. The central ritual of Holi is the throwing and applying of colored water and powders on friends and family, which gives the holiday its common name “Festival of Colors.” Celebrating this fest is to apply colors , do tikka, throw gulgal, eat sweets and drink a full glass of bhang but not to throw ur frnds in the pond of dirty water.
BUt now a days the holi is played in some clumsy and shabby behaviour, people use dirty chemical, boot polish, silver colored chemical, toilet in plastic bags, sticky material used generally in Falooda, etc to play the holi. Avoid such things.
