Interesting figures
As i have told before in my blog Cigarettes are “Killers that travels in packet”.
Some of the interesting figures related to this are as follows:
11 lakh homes across India surveyed for first ever nationally representative study on Smoking deaths in the country.
12 core is the no. of smokers in country.
10 lakh smoking deaths from a year 2010, says survey.
70% of these deaths – 600,000men & 1000000 women – 30-69 age group.
1-7 bidis a day raises risk of deaths by one-third.
Smoking 1-7 cigarettes a day doubles th risk of death.
Leading cause of death in urban smokers is acute heart attack, while leading cause of death in rural smokers is Tuberculosis
Smoking causes death by tuberculosis(38%),
respiratory disease(31%),
heart disease(20%),
cancer(32%).
Stopping Smoking works but only 2% have left it.
Ya its Dangerous for both.
People suffering from Asthma and other lung disease suffers lots from people around them who smokes.
It also creates problem for those having breathing problem.
Cigarettes are death in a Packet, both are harmed, the person who smokes and the person who stand near him. . You cannot do that by stopping Cigarettes scenes in the film, you should lay heavy restriction not to smoke.
