Indian cricketers had a grand welcome after returning home
Hi friends, Indian team had a grand welcome in Delhi. The team was welcomed by administrators & BCCI in new look Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi. The team bus was decorated with flowers & all the hype is going on as if these players have won a world cup against the Aussies.
The soldiers who protect the border never get such grand welcome like the cricketers; this nation is really crazy about cricket. Each and every player was called individually and BCCI president Sarat Pawar awarded checks & bunch of flowers. Players who were present are Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, Robin Uthappa, Gautham Gambhir, Rohit Sharma, Praveen Kumar, Ishant Sharma, Munaf Patel, Harbhajan Singh, Sreeshant, Dinesh Kartick, Piyush Chawla, Virender Shewag and Yuvaraj Singh. Lalchand Rajput was also present.
Many cricket fans turned up and cheered the players by shouting. MS Dhoni gave a long speech on success story of India in tour of Australia. He praised the U 19 cricket team which won the World Cup. I hope MS Dhoni make the team perform consistently in each and every series.
Later Sarat Pawar praised both the seniors & junior teams for their achievements. He appealed the public that, when a team loses don’t attack these players and take the defeat sportingly and concluded the speech.
Today Indian cricket team was shown in each and every news channel as if nothing to show on news channels. This is the standard of News Channels in India. These news channels cover more on Cricket, murders, celebrity affairs & all rotten. Anyhow it is public which need to change and stop encouraging these news channels. It is upto an individual what is right & wrong. That’s all for now folks.
Madhu Vamsi….. 🙂
Will this be the same scenario if India comes back withj Hockey world cup?
Will they b offered 10 Cr if they win some important tournament?
The virtue lies in the struggle, not the prize.
they deserved more than what they got…but the day was full of festivities and celebrations around Delhi…and all over country as such
they needed a grand welcome..vamsi…
