The movie of the year

Hi friends, recently I went to see the movie Jodha Akbar in a theatre after a long gap. The movie was very cool to watch. All the credit goes to Director Ashutosh Gowariker, music director AR Rehaman for creating such a lovely music and the hero of the film Hrithik Roshan who looks really like Akbar.

I rate this movie as 4 out 5 and many TV channels debated over the relationship of Jodha & Akbar. The debate was whether Jodha was wife or daughter-in-law of Akbar. But the director, finally, shown Jodha as the brave wife of Akbar. The film was epic 3 hours & 40 mins and I did not know that I have sat and seen the movie for such a long time.

The movie starts with the narration of Amitabh Bachan and he tells us about the history of Akbar & his ancestors, then about the Rajputs glory & the birth of Jodha and Akbar. Akbar role belongs to Hrithik but Ashiwariya is pretty as Jodha but her acting is not up to the mark of Hrithik as Akbar. Watch out for that scene where Hrithik gets an epiphany and joins the Sufi dancers in trance.

The war sequences are not creative and without it the film has nothing to show much. Ashutosh has shown a wonderful chemistry between Hrithik & Ash. The story was very interesting and I don’t want to tell you friends. You must watch this movie in either theatre or in your home TV.

The music of AR Rehaman was outstanding and Khwaja mere Khwaja was a very creative song. My favorite was the Jashn-E-Bahaaraa which was sung by Sonu Nigam and he sung so sweetly that whenever I listen to it my heart jumps in joy. It is the choreography which was not up to the mark and lot more can be done. The Marhaba song choreography (Chinni and Rekha Prakash were the choreographers) is a filled with clichéd dance moves and outdated camera angles.
In one of the songs, Akbar sings to his beloved and that little voice inside you says, “Hey, they didn’t tell us that in our history books!” But Jodha Akbar has never claimed to be entirely truthful to history (in fact no one can probably ever be).

Finally I will conclude that the movie is must watch. It is the movie and parents can teach the history to his kid by showing the greatness of Jodha Akbar.

with lots of love

The war sequences was in its usual manner and director can reduce those scenes to a small scenes but without war scenes the movie would have finished earlier than 3 hours 40 mins.
