A Prayer (translation of a widely chanted verse)

You are my only mother
You are my only father
You are my only brother
You are my only friend
You are my only knowledge
You are my only wealth
O! God! You only are everything to me!

Dull days

Days travel with pace of snail
Nights competes with days
World seems to be standstill
Time as if not inching!
Wind is not blowing
Rivers are not flowing
Oh! To counter stillness
Tears are continuously flowing
And heart is constantly sighing!
Where is the pain? What is ailing?
In your absence, I am almost fainting!
Come running
Put life in the heart that is dying!
