Indian Hokey!!!

Issues:

1. Is Indian government or parliament is so weak that it cannot take any action siting that it has NO POWERS to meddle?

2. That is ridiculous. People who represent India are selected and controlled by a body over which India has no control!!?? Does it make any sense?

3. Gill is definitely to blame. And he must quit. No point in blaming anyone else for the debacle. POOR SELECTION…POOR RESULTS!!!

4. When India performs well under local coach or without coach, why the hell IHF and for that matter BCCI should insist on FOREIGN COACH? It smacks filthy!

5. Let us hope that INDIAN government wakes up to the situation and makes the necessary laws to intervene these TREACHEROUS Sport bodies. The earlier the better!

Hi Sreeradha, Indian governament will not do anything for IHF & many other burning issues is yet to solve by the governament then how the hell you are expecting that govt will do the duty. Gill has lot of name in India and it is hard to remove him from the power.
Coming to your point of foreign coach, India has good desi coaches but IHF is not selecting right coach for the coaching of Indian national team. Maharaj Krishan Kaushik helped India to win the 1998 Asian games Gold medal under the captaincy of Danraj Pillay but too my surprise he was removed from coach of Indian men’s hockey team immediately and Baskaran was given the assignment of coaching. Kaushik was made the coach for th womens team but womens team also won a major tournament trophy. Why did IHF removed him as coach when Kaushik made the indian team to win asian games gold medal after 32 years in 1998.

That is the politics which is played by IHF and how will the game improve in our country when politics is given first preference..

    With love,
    Madhu…. 🙂

Welcome ! You are right Madhu. Lots of logical support is given by these sport bodies for their action. We need to give counter arguments! These sports bodies cannot debate. I I feel time has come that all the decisions regarding team selection should be taken via televised debate!

By the way..Who is in the photograph?

I don’t agree that telivision debate will solve the problem. Ex players should be given chance to administrate the IHF affairs and the govt has to take the action or else nothing will change.

The person in the picture is Nache Baliya contestant Sanchita. I love her very much so kept her photo to get some inspiration from her.

    With love Madhu….
