What do we lack?

We are not successful in attaining God. What do we lack?

I think we are not able to decide whether to pursue God or not. Mind is governed by decision taken by intellect. For example, a critical heart patient restrains himself from all attractions of food delicacies that will adversely affect his chances of living. It means if there is decision, mind will have to follow the dictates of intellect.

In order to take decisions we usually go by –

1. Our Ability
2. What is there for me in the object?
3. What are the chances of the securing the object?
4. What I”ll have to sacrifice for it?
5. How long I can be happy with the achieved object?
