Dev Anand’s GUIDE getsclassically rewarded

I feel enthralled at the very mention of my favorite film GUIDE, but this was special occasion for me. This Dev Anand and Waheeda Rehman starrer Guide (1960) got its due recognition and worth when it got invited for a screening at the Cannes Film festival in the classic section of the world. It was great occasion for living legend when the film got honored as it deserved to be best among great works in Indian cinema. Dev Anand was elated on this momentous occasion and remembered his brother Vijay Anand who had directed the film. As per records, the coveted Cannes Film Festival is one of the prestigious festivals and Dev Anand’s Guide had also been chosen as India’s official entry to the Oscars in 1964. Cannes Film Festival will be commencing in May while Dev Anand will be busy with his next film Chargesheet, a murder mystery exposing corruption in the police force. I feel proud that my favorite got its due recognition in world cinema.
