ICL 20s World Series News Update
Yesterday evening I sat before the TV because it was Sunday. I was quickly shuffling the channels and I stopped at Ten Sports. The reason was ICL XI Vs Pakistan XI match live coverage. The match was trilling to me. I loved the way the young Indian team played.
The Pakistan team was more experienced than the Indian team. Steve Rixon trained the new faces Indian team superbly. The fielding of the ICL India was outstanding and the batting was also superb.
ICL India scored 176/6 in 20 overs and top scorer was Tejinder Pal Singh 52 (32). Ibrahim Khaleel (wk) 35 (30), Abhishek Jhunjhunwala 26 (36) and Abbas Ali 22 (14) were other batsmen among the runs.
ICL Pakistan started its innings superbly. Abdul Razzak scored 38 in just 17 balls (7 fours, 1 six). Imran Nazir was retired hurt and after Razzak departure to Pavilion, no other Pakistani batsmen able to play aggressive innings. Surprisingly Inzamam- ul- haq did not have the chance to come and play a brisk knock. In the middle overs Kumaran (1 wkt), Ali Murtaza (2 wkts) and Ganapathi Vignesh (3 wkts) did not allowed the Pakistani batsmen to score freely.
ICL India won this match by 32 runs and Tejinder Pal Singh was declared as the Man of the Match. Pakistan captain won the Toss and decided to bowl.

In childhood we used to play gend balla. Bricks used to serve as wickets. A wooden plank and tennis ball. Any place, any time, any number of players. This was our cricket. Now cricket has filled the lives of people in such a way that there is no room for any other game. Test matches, 50 over ODIs, world cup, BCCI, IPL, ICL. Cricket sure has become a highly profitable business.
