what is the Primary storage ?
Primary Storage
Primary memory is also referred to as the REAL MEMORY. it stores the input data program that is presently being executed and the processed results in different poritions .
the contents of a particular position of the primary memory are volatile. Example temporary this volatile portion of the primary storage is used for READ/WRITE operations as and when requred and is referred to as the RANDOM ACCESS MEMORY (RAM).
when the computer is switched off , the contents of the RAM are erased.

The other part of the primary memory can not be erased and is called the READ ONLY MEMORY (ROM) the content of ROM can not be altered either. it contains vital information regarding the functioning of the computer
