ARTICLE (June 22): In Pakistan, leasing business started to develop as an organised sector in the middle of eighties as the first leasing company was established in the year 1985.

Thereafter, the sector showed continued progress and development for a decade as in the first six years i.e. up to 1991, 6 leasing companies were established and from 1991 to 1997 the sector showed tremendous growth as during the period as many as 27 new leasing companies were established.

Time is a friend

Hi,

I would be lying if I said I was not acquainted with time. I know time very well. He and i are the best of friends. Time which have been so aloof and uncompromising to so many, has been uncompromisingly generous to me.Many is the hour I have spent in his erudite company and his in mine. The allegations of time management which are bandied about so callously by all and sundry have threatened to seriously undermine my relationship with time. As a true friend should, I have not inhibited his movements at any point of time. This I believe is the key to know about time.

How do you deal with this?

Hi friends,

If your Boss is a bully , How to deal with this?
Action will depend upon couple of things:
a) Since when you are working in the company or How old employee you are?
b) How many friends you have, who can support you and are being bullied by your boss.
c) How is your boss political set-up. Does he has good contacts up the ladder?

conflict b/w different departments in a company

There is no doubt that discussion and negotiations are the best ways to resolve any conflict..
However being aware of fundamental reasons of the differences helps in understanding each other;

** Different departments speak/understand different language
(For example Finance knows numbers only and is unable understand the operations lanuguage till the time it sees the hidden numbers behind quantam savings through the timely availability of inventory. On the same note opearation needs to understand the hidden cost of carrying that inventory in terms interest, handling, obsolesence etc.. )

Mediation in my words………

Hi friends,

I feel meditation is a way to improve your communication with yourself. Breaking the barriers which you have with your own self.

We are so used to seeing the outside world that we take whats inside us for granted. We know how to operate a mobile phone, how to charge it and how to replace batteries but we dont know how to charge ourselves. Meditation may help us in this process.

At deeper levels meditation may mean uniting ourselves with the nature… earth, water, sun, moon, sky… everything.
