Discrimination in reducing train fares
Lalu Prasad, Indian Railway Minister, has presented his fifth and final rail budget to this Lok Sabha. First-class A/C fares have been reduced by 7% and A/C II tier by 4%.

Feelings of a common passenger
Lalu Prasad felt bad about food served to him during train travel. ‘Feeling bad’ is a soft term. He became very angry. As he is Railway Minister, his anger resulted in suspension of few railway employees. He also took some decisions on the spot. Only branded food will be served now. Media also reported it.

Traveling Ticket Examiners (TTE) and RPF police personnel cause the biggest harassment to passengers on trains and platforms. Their job is to ensure that genuine passengers can travel on Indian trains comfortably, but most of them do he just opposite. They harass passengers and pick their pockets.
