Creating stem cells – The Holy Grail of medicine!

Few people would have dreamt that medicine can advance so far as to create human hearts or kidneys in the laboratories. Scientific research has progressed so fast that scientists can now create stem cells from mature body cells.
Stem cells are what we call as pluripotent cells i.e capable of developing into any adult cell that they are programmed to become! Scientists have managed to turn the clock back on skin cells to turn them into stem cells and these can be mutated to form adult organs and tissues.

Cannabidiol – A new hope for breast cancer patients?

Cannabidiol (CBD) has been found to be a hopeful non-toxic alternative to chemotherapy to breast cancer patients. Tha California Pacific Medical Center Research Institute team has published their reports in Molecular Cancer Therapeutics.

They stressed the fact that CBD lacks the psychoactive properties of Cannabis and as such would not violate any Narcotics regulations. LCD screens come to life when light from behind the screen is shone through the screen’s matrix composed of tiny colored liquid crystals. Plasma TVs have tiny gas cells sandwiched between two sheets of glass and they emit UV light that strikes RGB spots on the screen to produce a picture.
